- The Exploration Place: The Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre is a Northern BC non-profit organization and registered Canadian charity whose goals are to preserve the local history and foster lifelong learning in the areas of science, technology, heritage, and culture. The Exploration Place is Northern BC’s largest museum and only science centre.
- Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum: The Prince George Railway & Forestry Museum is a great spot for families to explore together. Set on an 8-acre site, it features more than 60 pieces of historic trains and equipment, 10 heritage buildings, and plenty of hands-on artifacts that bring the region’s rail and forestry history to life.
- Mr. PG: Mr. PG first appeared publicly on May 8, 1960, to welcome delegates to a Rotary International conference at the Simon Fraser Inn. Since then, he has undergone many transformations and helped celebrate countless community events. He continues to greet visitors to Prince George from his current home at the intersection of Highways 16 and 97. Park at the PG Playhouse and enjoy a quick stroll over—it’s an easy, family-friendly way to reach him and snap that must-have selfie together.

- Two Rivers Gallery: Situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh, Two Rivers Gallery is a centre for contemporary Canadian art and creativity in Prince George and the central interior. Two Rivers Gallery offers a range of programs and classes for all ages. Free admission for all!
- UNBC David Douglas Botanical Gardens: The David Douglas Botanical Garden—one of the northernmost botanical gardens—offers a welcoming place for families to explore and learn together. In partnership with the University of Northern British Columbia, the garden is thoughtfully cared for to be both beautiful and accessible, while sharing the joy of gardening and trees with visitors of all ages. - Connaught Hill Park: Landscaped city park perched on a hilltop with panoramic views & plenty of picnic space.
- Rotary Water Park: Located in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, this water park provides an easy kid-friendly activity that has interactive components to control the flow, and direction of the water. Picnic tables and a newly built pavilion overlook the waterpark.
