Welcome to Nanguz ‘An!
We’re excited to have our Container Market, featuring five containers placed along the edge of our year-round ice rink. In partnership with the Lheidli T’enneh, we’ve given each container — and the market itself — a Lheidli name. The entire market is called Nanguz ‘An, meaning “Fox Den,” a tribute to the Canada Winter Games. Each individual container is named after rivers, reflecting the Lheidli heritage, where the rivers converge.
All-Year Round
Our vibrant market features a variety of unique offerings, from locally made artisanal goods and live performances by local artists to rentals for fishing gear, bikes, and skates, and an all-season ice rink. To ensure everyone can enjoy the experience, the market will include an inclusive boardwalk, making it easy for all visitors to explore and enjoy the market.

Guides, Maps & Unique Local Gifts
While visiting Nanguz’An, don’t forget to check out our Visitor Information Centre and gift shop, located at 850 Canada Games Way. We offer a variety of guides to help you explore the Prince George area, as well as comprehensive guides for Northern BC, the Cariboo Chilcotin, the Kootenay Rockies, and a selection of southern regions. Our map section features a range of maps for sale, including detailed provincial maps and backroad maps.
In addition to our informational offerings, our Basecamp Boutique gift shop showcases a unique collection of items featuring Prince George and Mr. PG. From clothing and hats to socks and glasses, there’s something for everyone. We also carry a curated selection of merchandise from Native Northwest, as well as handmade items by local artisans here in Prince George.
The Visitor Centre Winter Hours (September – May) are Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Saturday and Sunday we are closed.
The Visitor Centre Summer Hours (June – August) are Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
