Earlier this year, Tourism Prince George hired a consultant to provide an in-depth evaluation for the potential locations (Prince George Civic and Conference Centre Rotunda and Pine Centre Mall), including our current location on 1st Ave.

Our goal is to determine the best place with existing infrastructure where Tourism Prince George can meet visitor needs, while increasing the economic benefit to Prince George by encouraging longer stays and recommending local attractions and businesses. A Visitor Information Centre (VIC) Relocation Taskforce, set up in June 2022, determined that the above two venues provided the best opportunity to meet these goals.

We also want to hear from the public. Since the VIC is an integral part of our visitor economy, including our stakeholders and residents, please have your say through this online survey.

We will continue to update City Council and the public on new milestones and decisions.
