The Legion, 1116 6th Avenue

Parlour Panther:
Parlour Panther is an Indie Rock band hailing from East Vancouver. Queer power couple Steph and Lee collaborate with Charles and Toga to create songs full of electric guitars, synths, phat bass n’ rhythms, and powerful vocals in overlapping harmonies. Influenced by blues, indie rock and french pop, Parlour Panther originals are crowd-pleasing and rich with complex musical intricacies.
Inspired by the resistance of Queer communities, some of their lyrics come from those struggles and the love and strength required to overcome.

Hatchey the Mouthpiece:
2013 Much Music BeatBox Champion
2012 Hamilton Music Award Winner
2012 Hamilton Hip Hop Award Winner

Live looping beatbox artist accompanied by exotic synths,Vocoder and lyrics

This Way North:
Punchy and left of centre, but with a universally appealing groove and melody, This Way North’s live shows are powerful. Cat brings solid groove based, dynamic power drumming, while Leisha sways with swampy slide guitar, slimmed down soul vocals and compelling alt- pop melodies. Sometimes likened to The Black Keys, Tame Impala and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, their unique musical connection creates an explosive sound that’s rarely realised by just two artists on stage. Audiences are drawn in by the powerful performances of these two seasoned musicians. The moment This Way North embrace the stage the audience engage – that’s just how it is.
Recorded with producer Shane O’Mara (Tim Rogers, The Audrey’s, Lisa Miller) the duo’s 2016 debut EP featured singles ‘Pretty Much’ and ‘Don’t You Fly’ with official clips directed by Agostino Soldati, and was followed by shows with Thirsty Merc, as well as Toronto showcases and festivals such as Moomba, Nannup Music Festival, Bendigo Blues and Roots, Swagger Music Festival and Wollombi Music festival.
