Potato Festival

Celebrate the mighty spud at Huble Homestead with games and crafts, music, tours, and demonstrations. Come early to buy heirloom potatoes, grown in the Huble garden, as well as other vegetables! 

Watch and take part in heritage demonstrations such as ice cream and butter making, and learn all about cheese making from Tracey Johnson of Cheeseneeds.com. Chat with our summer staff as they demonstrate their heritage projects. 

Kick back and relax to live music, play one of our popular lawn games, try out the stilts, and treat yourself to a fresh piece of pie in the General Store! The BBQ will be serving a pancake breakfast from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, burgers and hot dogs will be on the menu. In addition to our regular menu, we’ll also be featuring a potato-ey menu. pancakes! Peruse the General Store and take 10% off all items (excluding food). 

Afterwards, revert back to your childhood by taking part in potato sack races, Hot Potato, or the potato and spoon race, and try your hand at potato stamping in the Welcome Barn.
