Event Details

The 23nd annual Polar Bear Dip is coming up soon!

Event organizer Dayna Penson said “This fundraiser is an epic event! Something
super unique to the North, and to Prince George as there are not many places you
have to cut through a foot of ice to go for an afternoon dip. Although this year the
lake has just frozen over, so who knows how much ice there will actually be Jan.1st. Whether or not we have to cut the ice we will run the event and we can’t wait to have the community come out and all while helping make camp affordable for all families.” Over $190,000 has been raised over the 23 years the dip has happened to help send kids to camp that otherwise could not afford it.

The formal ceremony will start at 1:30pm where prizes for most money raised through pledges and best costumes will be won.

The event will now take place as a drop in from 1:45pm-3pm. Hope to see people there!
