Penny Days will be a cheerful, old-fashioned celebration of the community of Penny, BC's 99th anniversary.
Penny train station has been located at the Railway & Forestry Museum since 1988. The train station was build by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway in 1914 but burned down in a 1947 fire. The station building from Lindup, BC was moved to the location to replace it. The building was again moved in 1988 to the Railway & Forestry Museum. Tour the Museum, hop onto the Cottonwood Minitrain and learn about our Heritage Gardens. Enjoy local artisan demonstrations such as Blacksmithing, Wood-turning and Wool-spinning and visit Penny Market with local vendors. On scheduled times during the event, we will have speakers and musicians for entertainment. Our old-fashioned concession will take care of the culinary well-being.
