Jimmy Baldwin & Jer Breaks
Saturday September 29, 2018  |  9:00 PM
Nancy O's, 1261 3rd Avenue

$10 cover at the door

2 old PG friends that have made their own success in the music business are coming back to Nancy O's Stage for 1 great night.

Jimmy Balwin:
"There aren’t many things in the world Jimmy Baldwin would rather do than grab one of his guitars and hit the stage in front of a bunch of smiling, singing faces. It's a good thing because as it seems, that’s almost all he’s been doing the last few years.

Whether as leader of his own Jimmy Baldwin Band, co-founding member of 10-piece Afro-beat funk juggernaut Camaro 67, or as hot Tele-picker with Warner country artists the Washboard Union among many others, Jimmy is always playing.

Look for new Jimmy Baldwin music to be released in the coming year as well as lots of exciting performances with the various projects he is currently involved with."

Jer Breaks:

Jer Breaks spent his formative years staring up at the guitars adorning the walls of the music store owned by his father, a seasoned musician, in Northern BC. It comes as no surprise that his passion for music has culminated into a busy career as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist sideman.

Break’s first solo effort (releasing fall 2013) showcases his soft and innocent voice, honest lyrics and atmospheric guitar style. The combination is reminiscent of Neko Case or Ryan Adams floating on a cloud: Powerful yet gentle.

Jer may be better known for his work as half of Vancouver folk duo Redgy Blackout, releasing three albums, placed among the top 20 bands in the Peak Performance Project and toured across Canada. He is also a sought after sideman, playing with a number of Canada’s most respected country artists, most recently as guitarist for Canadian country singer Dallas Smith. Over the last decade his work with Smith has taken him all over Canada the US and Europe.

Breaks started to work as a TV and Film composer in early 2017 and has 3 credits to his name including a "Stephen King" Dollar Babies project called “The Doctor’s Case and a web series out of Vancouver, BC called “Last Chance”.
