Event Details

Candy Cruise Prince George has been created to ensure that families and individuals have a safe alternative that is pandemic friendly this Halloween. Instead of the traditional door to door trick-or-treating, families can go to multiple organization locations to collect candy (in a low to no contact method). They can also get their pictures (at a safe distance) with cosplayers and costumers. Each picture they post online with the #candycruisepg enters them to win prizes!

It replaces the walking door to door with driving, and the exposure at each house, with organizations who are following provincial guidelines to keep everyone safe.

Instead of purchasing and handing out candy, we are encouraging families and households to donate (online donation method coming soon) towards this event. Money raised will go towards candy purchasing. All additional funds will be donated to three local charities:
-Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC
-The Child Development Center
-Ness Lake Bible Camp

Households can print a poster (coming soon) that states “For your safety and ours we will not be handing out candy this year. Get on the Candy Cruise Prince George to find locations that are giving away candy in safe and fun ways” with links and QR codes to the list of participating organizations.
