The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading a hike from Edric Road to Huble Homestead on Monday, Sept. 2.
The hike is rated easy-moderate with a distance of five to seven kilometres over gentle terrain and should take three to four hours.
It will involve a bushwhack from Edric Road, northeast to the Fraser River and then north along the river to the Homestead. A vehicle shuttle will also be necessary.
Participants should bring hiking boots, a day backpack, sufficient water or possibly something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing and rain gear and gaiters. Hiking poles and bear spray are also recommended.
Meet that the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the 9 a.m. scheduled departure time. The trailhead is 40 kilometres north of Prince George and the carpool fee is $5.
