Naomi Shore and Lindsey Walker: Live at Nancy O's
Monday October 1, 2018  |  8:00 PM
Nancy O's, 1261 3rd Avenue

$5 Cover to the musicians.

Naomi Shore is a folk/roots artist from Northern BC, a lover of storytelling and sad songs. Her songwriting is honest, vulnerable and relatable. Her first solo EP 'Piece by Piece' will be released in late 2018.

With her duo project, Twin Peaks, Naomi has had the good fortune of touring most of Canada as well as the East Coast of Australia. In 2015 Twin Peaks were awarded the Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Duo/Group Recording of the Year for their album Trouble.

LINDSEY WALKER
“Her vocals like a hot-buttered rum and her lyrics like a cold flash of pain, Walker doesn’t sugarcoat her words. Yet, she knows how to wrap you up in a warm blanket of music on a chilly fall day.”
— Sierra Bilton, Vue Weekly

Lindsey Walker was voted Best of Edmonton Solo Artist by Vue Weekly (2017) and nominated for Female Artist of the Year EMA (2018). On releasing ‘this desolate bliss’ she earned distinction as a Canadian Songwriting competition semi finalist with eerie track St.Petersburg, the simmering Window also drew notice with an Indie Rock Recording of the Year EMA nom. Edmonton based, Winnipeg bred Lindsey roams extensively winning hearts with her raw honesty and soaring vocal dynamism. Since her 2013 EMA nomination as an “Artist to Watch” Walker has played venues from Vancouver to Halifax and gained a national audience of devoted fans. Find her wandering in the night pursuing all that dares to glimmer.

The war games will run from 8:30pm - 10:45pm). Please note we need as many players as possible to stay at the end to assist with clean up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS EVENT IS 16+.

IF YOU'RE NEW TO THIS SPORT, BE SURE TO READ THE REQUIREMENTS/SAFETY RULES LISTED FURTHER BELOW.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a reminder, Prince George Airsoft events are for fun, friendly airsoft games; no prizes, no rankings, no discrimination. Also, please note that indoor airsoft is geared more towards a mature audience,16+ as this is a COMBAT SIMULATION sport. Getting shot WILL HURT & minor injuries can occur. Trust us though, IT'S WORTH IT!!! If you have questions, just message the event hosts!
To see WHAT Prince George Airsoft actually is, check out our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/650716201718990/
or check out our YouTube promo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-5spfKaxCg&feature=youtu.be

We will be running 2 game types for the most part: Team Deathmatch & Medics. Depending on number of players and interest, we may include some version(s) of Capture the Flag.
----------------------
THE COST: $20
Note: all players that HELP SET UP & HELP CLEAN UP will be eligible to get a portion of their field fee reimbursed at the end of the night after cleanup PROVIDING we have a large enough turnout. This is Prince George Airsoft’s way of saying thank you to those that help & to encourage others to volunteer as well. Quicker setup and take down results in more playing time for everyone!
----------------------

THE RULES (Indoor):
As an extra note when it comes to safety, we do have a few basic rules; just enough to avoid any serious injuries/accidents but not too many to ruin the fun! Prince George Airsofts indoor rules are:
- You must have a POSITIVE, FRIENDLY, & RESPECTFUL attitude (cheating/poor sportsmanship will NOT be tolerated and may result in you being removed from the game or future games)
- All airsoft guns must be concealed in a gun case, bag or box until inside “The Dome”
- All airsoft weapons must be shooting under 400fps with a .2g bb (all guns will be tested with a chronograph at the game event)
- ALL indoor games are SEMI-AUTO ONLY
- Fully covered clear (mesh are not allowed) eye protection (rated for impacts)
- Mouth protection (we don't want anyone getting a tooth shot out!)
- Lasers are allowed but we do ask that you refrain from head shots with them
- due to the intense nature of the sport, if you are under 18 years of age, you MUST have written parental consent (waiver forms are available at the event for this) (events are 16+ only)
- THICK hoodies & heavy jackets are not allowed (this is because it provides too much protection from bb impacts to the point where you can't feel or hear being hit)

RECOMMENDED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- ear, neck, & hand coverings (when you get shot, it's going to hurt, so the less exposed skin you have, the better!)
- bottled water (you will get very and very thirsty, trust me!)
- a snack (the night is long, you'll probably get hungry)
Remember, there are no prizes, so we expect everyone to play honestly and fairly. Games are fast paced and exciting, but are only as fun as the people playing them. Therefore, if you think you've been hit, it's better to call "out". We expect all players to conduct themselves with integrity and good sportsmanship at all events. Lastly, make no mistake, getting hit will hurt, at least a little bit; but trust me, it's worth it! Each game generally runs 2-5 minutes and is fast paced and is sure to get your adrenaline pumping! Hope to see you all there!

Lastly, we have a ZERO tolerance for drugs and alcohol, if anyone shows up under the influence whatsoever, they will be asked to leave immediately and will not be permitted to play or watch.
