How would you like to learn more about growing flowers in our cold climate? Starting with the basics we will discuss: direct seed gardening! Direct seeding is the quickest and easiest way to get flowers growing in your garden. Being in Zone 3-4 in Prince George we will discuss what flowers perform best with this method. ( FUN FACT: Did you know that we have been gardening for over 20 years and have done the Master Gardener program at UNBC?!)
As an added bonus we will also discuss some super easy to start from seed flower varieties. You will then get to plant up your own 6 pack to take home and nurture to plant out into your own gardens.
The trick is to not start seeds too early! We will discuss when you should be starting your seeds to ensure strong and healthy seedlings.
Did you also know that some flowers need to be pinched?! Hmmmm…. well if your unfamiliar with this term and the benefits of it then you NEED to join us at this workshop!
Also if you have ever wanted to feel that pride of having something you planted turn into beautiful flowers then this class is also for YOU. Any sized garden, acreage gardening, container gardening, patio gardening can benefit from knowing what works and what doesn’t in our climate.
