Looking for something to do to beat the boredom of physical distancing? In-person events have been cancelled to help lessen the spread of COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing left to do. Event organizers are taking advantage of technology to offer everything from dance parties to crafts online! Here’s our monthly virtual event wrap up for April that we put together in partnership with Move Up Prince George to add some fun back into your daily routine.
Sunny Side Up: A Good Egg Records virtual concert series
Are you missing live music? You’re in luck because Good Egg Records is hosting a virtual concert series spanning five days starting on April 3rd. All you need to do is “like” the pages of the artists you want to watch perform and then tune into their pages at the dates and times listed on the Facebook event page. A $5 donation/cover is suggested via e-transfer or PayPal but the organizers say it’s okay if you’re not in a position to support the artists financially!
Dates: April 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8
Location: Facebook Live via musician’s pages
Physically distance yourself, grab your good luck charm, and get ready to play radio bingo with CFUR 88.7. Call 778-693-2387 and press 4 to buy your CFURadio bingo paper for $2.00. Safe mail delivery can be arranged if you buy your bingo sheets before 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 2nd. Each sheet has three cards for three games. On April 3rd, tune into CFUR 88.7 to play. Call the station number when you have a bingo and they’ll confirm your bingo over the phone and ask you to mail in your sheet. You can win a CFURadiothon swag pack, original Prince George rock merch, art, comic books, or $100. All proceeds from this event will support the CFURadio Youth Academy and help upgrade aging broadcast equipment.
Date: April 3, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Location: Tune into 88.7 FM
Digital Mirage online music festival
Get ready to dance the weekend away with the Digital Mirage online music festival. Dates: April 3-5
Various local businesses, organizations, and individuals have started offering their cooking, art, and fitness classes online. So why not take advantage of them to learn a new hobby or get your body moving?

Explore your history
The Exploration Place is currently closed, but you can still learn with them. Join them every day at 10:00 am on their Facebook page for animal visits, science demos, and more. You can also explore the history of Prince George through their online exhibits. The Railway and Forestry Museum is also closed to the public until further notice but is offering virtual exhibits via its website, Facebook and Instagram accounts, and its newly launched YouTube channel. There’s no better time like the present to learn about the past!

Participate in the #heartsofpg movement
Join a local movement that has gone international: Hearts of PG.
