Great West Life (GWL) Mobility Nature Trail

Please note that the access way and parking lot are under construction in the summer of 2017. The trails can be accessed via foot bridge, but vehicles and mobility devices will not be able to enter.

This is a 0.5km wheelchair friendly nature trail, accessed from the Dougherty Creek Recreation Site. Everything about this creek side trail is designed with mobility users in mind, including wheelchair accessible picnic tables and outhouses.

The recreation site at Dougherty Creek has 2 picnic tables, 2 toilets, a water faucet, 9 camp sites, and provides access to the greater Tabor Mountain Recreation Site.

Take Highway 97 South to Buckhorn Lake Road; turn left. Follow Buckhorn Lake Road for 6.8 km until you reach a major bend in the road; turn left onto Scott Road. Travel to the end of Scott Road (2.4 km) to where the gravel starts; take the first right (at o.2 km) and drive until you reach the main parking lot and trail head.
