Prince George, BC – May 3rd, 2013 - Tourism Prince George is pleased to announce that the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre has been recognized as a WorldHost certified facility. Over the past few months, staff has participated in a customer service training process to help make the location one of the first fitness facilities in British Columbia to receive the designation.
The Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre is a 145,150 square foot community facility that sits at the entrance of the UNBC campus. From general memberships to rental space for minor sport groups, to training opportunities for high-performance athletes, the NSC brings together the community in fitness and sport development. The facility recognizes the importance of excellent service, especially as it is a major host venue of the upcoming 2015 Canada Winter Games.
“We are really excited to have been able to move forward with this training opportunity. It develops the skill set of our staff and further enhances the experience that the numerous customers and visitors to our facility will have,” says Kevin Nowottnick, Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre Manager.
“It’s great to expand the number of WorldHost certified locations in Prince George. It’s important for the image of our community that we are able to put our best foot forward when visitors arrive,” says Sherry Powney, Manager of Visitor Services for Tourism Prince George.
WorldHost is an essential training program in the tourism and service industry: it is nationally and internationally renowned. WorldHost provides employees with the necessary tools to implement excellent customer service in a variety of circumstances.
