2018 Olympics Gold Medal Game - Curling

Fore Bistro & Patio is hosting a viewing party for the Gold Medal Curling match of the 2018 Olympics.

'Sweep' your date off their feet by 'sliding' by Fore Bistro & Patio, they will be showing the game that gets under way at 10:30 pm and the 'house' will be 'rocking'.
 
'Skip' the couch and leave the 'hacks' at home .
 
There will also be people on hand with information about Prince George's bid to host the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier!

Adapted Aquatic swims run on Sundays and are FREE for disabled visitors and their immediate family members.

The Adapted Aquatic program runs from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Four Seasons Leisure Pool, starting on the first Sunday after Labour Day in September and running to the last Sunday in June. Swimming opens to the public at 11:30am to 5:30pm on Sundays.

Caledonia Ramblers snowshoe

The Caledonia Ramblers are hosting a snowshow into Slim Creek Provincial Park on Sunday, February 25.
The trip is rated moderate-strenuous, will cover 10-15 kilometres and take 6-8 hours.
Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, extra warm clothing, gaiters and hiking poles.
Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 7:30 a.m.
The carpool fee is $10 and the trailhead is 115 kilometres east of Prince George.

Play a game or two of drop-in hockey during your lunchtime at the Kin Centre 2. 

Drop-in hockey runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 1:30pm, starting October 10, 2017 and running until just before the March spring break. 

Admission: $8 per person per day (goalies are free). No pre-registration is required; drop-in participants are welcome.

Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

Caledonia Ramblers full-moon snowshoe

The Caledonia Ramblers are hosting a full-moon snowshoe along Ginter's trail to UNBC on Thursday, March 1.
The trip is rated easy and begins east of UNBC and below University Way.
Participants should bring a headlamp, a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, snacks or maybe something more substantial to eat, extra warm clothing, gaiters and hiking poles. They should also consider bringing ice-cleats (grippers) in case the trail is icy. Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the 7 p.m. departure time. The carpool fee is $2.

788 Pulpmill Rd, PG (across from Northern Lights Winery), by donation. No experience nor knowledge required, just your willingness to move with diverse genres of rhythmic world music in a wave like sequence.
A regular community event for every body, which intends to facilitate free conscious movements with rhythmic music in a safe, shoe- and drug free space.
It offers a space for potential physical and mental re-balancing and reconnecting ourselves and community . Reconnecting on different level is essential for health and needs to be experienced.

BC Hockey will host a grand opening weekend of BC Hockey’s Regional Centre-North in Prince
George, BC at the CN and Kin Centre Arenas March 2-4, 2018.


The grand opening will start Friday, March 2, 2018 with a Try-It Sledge Hockey event followed by the
official ribbon-cutting and a trio of hockey games featuring local teams including the Female Midget
AAA (FMAAA) Northern Capitals, the Western Hockey League (WHL) Prince George Cougars and the
British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) Prince George Spruce Kings.


On Saturday, March 3, 2018 there will be a referee clinic, a coach’s hot stove question and answer
session with Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach of the Prince George Cougars and Steve O’Rourke,
Associate Coach of the Cougars and Team BC Male U16 Head Coach. The Capitals, Cougars and
Spruce Kings will all be in action again on Saturday night.


Sunday, March 4, 2018 has three (3) female skills clinics for players from Novice to Bantam. The
Capitals will also wrap up their home series against the Greater Vancouver Comets on Sunday
morning.

The Caledonia Ramblers are hosting a family-friendly snowshoe to Livingston Springs in Crooked River Provincial Park on Saturday, March 3.
The trip is rated moderate, will largely travel over flat terrain and take four hours to complete.
Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or something hot to drink, snacks and/or lunch, extra warm clothing and possibly gaiters and hiking poles.
Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the scheduled 10 a.m. departure time. The carpool fee is $5 and the trailhead is 70 kilometres north of Prince George.

Caledonia Ramblers snowshoe

The Caledonia Ramblers will be hosting a snowshoe up Pope Mountain near Fort St. James on Sunday, March 4.
The trip is rated moderate-strenuous, 12.6 kilometres round trip with a 753 metre elevation gain. It should take 3 hours up and 2 hours down.
Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, extra warm clothing, gaiters, hiking poles and possibly ice cleats (grippers).
Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the 7:30 a.m. departure time. The carpool fee is $15 and the trailhead is 165 km northwest of Prince George

Caledonia Ramblers snowshoe

The trip is rated easy-moderate, going over gentle slopes, covering 4 kilometres and taking 2-3 hours.
Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, extra warm clothing, gaiters, hiking poles and possibly ice cleats (grippers).
Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the 8 a.m. departure time. The carpool fee is $5 and the trailhead is 64 kilometres east of Prince George.
