A vibrant composer of exquisite libations, using exotic technique and locally sourced product to create classically inspired elixirs for the world…
Joel began his career over twenty years ago, first as a chef’s apprentice at a French culinary school, then on to the world of corporate kitchens. Quickly finding his passion and desire for the personal and creative touches of service, Joel moved to the Front of House and found a natural attraction to mixology. Joel later taught at one of Canada’s largest hospitality institutes for five years training more than six thousand students during his tenure. Journeys through Europe and the Middle East brought a whole new fascination for the craft of hospitality. Joel was inspired by the fresh and varied produce of Paris, detail in London and the opulence of Dubai; a passion was forged in excellence.
These opportunities set the stage for his ideologies in product quality, creativity, entertainment and education. With a passion for flavor and zest for personal and custom service, Joel is at the forefront of the mixology community.
Joel has trained extensively with spirit producers internationally and has had the opportunity to be mentored by some of the worlds most renowned distillers across Mexico and Scotland ultimately leading to CSS certification as a Master of Spirits and a CRT Tequila Regulatory Commission certification, both of which only a small handful of Canadians are accredited.
Joel’s biggest passion in life is sharing his knowledge and inspiring leaders in the hospitality industry to continue to mentor and push the boundaries of education, innovation & service.
