Judy Russell Presents: Cabaret
Saturday February 24, 2018  |  8:00 PM
Prince George Playhouse, 2626 RecPlace Drive

Judy Russell is thrilled to be bringing back Kander and Ebb’s Tony Award-winning musical CABARET to the Prince George Playhouse February 13, 2018 – February 24, 2018. Russell previously staged the production in 2001 at the Ramada and remounted due to overwhelming demand in 2002 at the Prince George Civic Centre. Proudly sponsored by Canadian Tire. Featured cast members in the 2018 Production will include Owen Selkirk as the Emcee. Selkirk is a former dancer with Ballet Kelowna and was last seen on the Prince George stage in The Producers in 2012 as ‘Leo Bloom’. Judy Russell Presents Alumni Shelby Meaney will play Sally Bowles, (previously Maria-The Sound of Music), and Catherine McCarthy as Fraulein Schneider. McCarthy played Sally Bowles in the 2002 Production. Additional cast includes: Franco Celli as Cliff, Gary Chappel as Herr Schultz, Adam Harasimiuk as Ernst and Sandra Clermont as Frau Kost. CABARET also features an amazing local dancing chorus and production crew. Musical Director Curtis Abriel, Band Leader Greg Prosser, Director/Choreographer Judy Russell. CABARET, takes audiences deep into the seedy nightlife of the Kit Kat Klub in Weimar, Germany on the eve of Hitler’s rise to power. Led by the enigmatic and dazzling Emcee, CABARET is an intoxicating theatrical experience, featuring well-known classics of the musical stage such as “Don’t Tell Mama,” “Maybe This Time,” and of course “Cabaret”. CABARET is a beloved and compelling piece of theatre and the winner of 8 Tony Awards and has characters that are not only complex and dark, but funny and delightful – all in all, deeply human.

Harmonize the Waters Within - A Sound Journey with Water
Sunday February 25, 2018  |  6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Sunset Yoga Studio, #116 1717, 3rd Avenue

Sacred Sound Artist and Ceremonialist Danielea Castell has recently returned to Canada from China and the United Nations in Geneva Switzerland where she was leading Water ceremonies and workshops as an Emissary for Water.

"I am deeply humbled and excited to be able to offer Sacred Sound Journeys in partnership with Water now. Water has been my primary teacher for 6 years and when we consciously connect with Water as we will in the sound journey, we harmonize with the frequency of Love."

WATER WATER EVERYWHERE
Water is integrated in every aspect of our life: inside the 3 trillion cells in our bodies, pouring from the taps in our homes and the skies over our heads, and flowing and floating outside in Nature. Water has powerful healing qualities especially in the way it moves and can change form which can help us be more flexible and forgiving.

In this Sound Journey with Danielea, you can call on the healing powers of Water to:
- Deepen your soul connection with Water
- Call in the healing qualities of Rivers, Lakes and Streams
- Allow the current of sacred sound and Water to take you into deeper connection with yourself and Nature

We will have an opening circle where we honour the Waters of our world and the Waters you have brought. After the sound journey we share some quiet time together and tea.

***Please arrive by 6:15 so you can settle in.

WHAT TO BRING:
For Personal Needs
- closed Water bottle for drinking
- yoga mat, blanket and pillow for your head if you like
